I am an equal opportunity bitch. Everyone gets an opportunity to show me
why I should respect them. I don't care about what's between someone's
legs, just what's in between their ears. I prize intelligence and
genuine kindness over paychecks and toys. I see nothing wrong with
"telling it like it is," even if it occasionally leads to some
temporarily bruised feelings. Egos heal and truth usually improves their
condition.
I just try to live my life and let other people do the same. I can't stand watching friends make moronic relationship choices, but I've found that they need to figure it out on their own. Because of this, I've seen a lot of stupidity and am determined not to contribute to the already burgeoning mass of idiotic decisions made in the world every day.
I'm not "child-free." I applaud you if you are. I love the idea of tax write-offs for self-elected vasectomies and tubal ligations--why bring someone into the world if you're not willing to take care of them? For some reason this opinion raises eyebrows. I guess this opinion is bitchy because it involves some use of common sense--something that tends to be looked down upon in our current culture.
I've been called an elitist. I've found that the people doing the name calling fail to realize that: (a) they should look up words before they use them in a sentence, and (b) they should consider whether or not their insult will be perceived as a compliment. Like I said before, I give every human being the same opportunity to show me why I should respect them. It's not my fault if the vast majority of humanity fails to live up to my standards (which aren't exactly high: intelligence, kindness and self-respect aren't exactly the friggin' holy grail).
I've seen too many women out there who are satisfied with their status as a "Victim." Many of them are so satisfied that they refuse to buy the upgrade to "Survivor." The upgrade just doesn't garner enough attention because it's lower maintenance.
In other words, I'm a Heartless Bitch because I can't bring myself to put up with stupidity and cruelty. I just don't see the point.
