Yes, I know it's a quote, but you know what? There are too damn many
guys on this site who believe it.
When Kuma did his survey on attitudes toward women in RPG.net, I put
this as my Number One complaint. "Women only want assholes!" And most of
the idiots saying it don't even realize how sexist it is.
Look, Nice Guys, women don't want assholes. They just don't want YOU.
Not Nice Guys, YOU. Maybe you're a Nice Guy. Good for you. But just
because a woman doesn't want to go out with you doesn't mean she doesn't
want a Nice Guy--all it means is she doesn't want YOU. For whatever
reason.
So, instead of reacting like a human being who actually thinks of women
as individual people and saying "Ah, well, fuck it. Her loss, I'm sure
there's someone else out there who will appreciate me," the pathetic
rejects fall back on the "Oh, women don't want Nice Guys, and that's why
I can't get a girlfriend."
So, all you Nice Guys "thanking" J.K. Rowling? Whatever. And on behalf
of all the women out there who are sick of that shit, Fuck You."
And this happened long before I'd even heard of the Heartless Bitches
website. So imagine my delight at finding an entire site filled with
women (and men) who feel the same way I do about the Nice Guy Rant, and
other things as well.
