Mary
After putting myself through undergraduate school working as a waitress,
I went into a predominantly female career. Teaching. What a bunch of
crying, whining, helpless people. I am strong, a masters degree, an
Educational Leadership certification, National Board Certification and
ready to open my own school with my own rules. I will only hire strong
people because they do not intimidate me and from their strength and
competent natures, mine is challenged and enhanced.
I don't have to use
manipulation or helplessness to achieve my destination in life, I go
after what I know is right.
I have been on state committees making
decisions for millions of students and have worked with the strongest
and most intelligent people in this business. (There are quite a few
when your reputation gets known.) I have honors and accolades because I
have gone after what I know is right and I have helped my students see
that life is for those that have the strength to go after it! We don't
have the word "can't" in my classroom and all students succeed because of
their inner qualities, not because they were cute, or special, or
someone's child. They succeed because they have the strength and inner
power to do this. These are 9 and 10 year olds that are making decisions
and helping run the school.
Being a Heartless Bitch is necessary to help
model the qualities that will help these students become the leaders of
tomorrow. Poverty level, parental involvement, or previous setbacks are
ignored in my class and we push forward with determination and a vision
that we will succeed. Nothing can stop us except our own fear!
