and Damned Proud of it!

Elizabeth

I know that "I don't want to," is a reasonable answer to many questions. If I decide to tell a man that I'm his equal, it doesn't make me a feminist, it makes me generous. In all probability, I am superior to him. I'm heartless, maybe, brainless, never. I believe that these six words should be banned forever, and any person caught saying them should be shot: "If you loved me, you would." No one owns me or owes me, and I AM going to keep it this way. So what if I'm married with children? I am still me, only married with children, they are life-choices, it doesn't change who I am. I cannot bear women who declare that a "mommy" is who they are. That's a hideous example, and burden, on your children. You cannot make them the reason for your very existence. As for the women who define themselves by their husbands, I can't think about you or I'll puke on my keyboard.
