Because I can't stand it when adults in my part of the world (Iceland) can rant endlessly
on about how bad they have it, have conspiracy theories on every politician, hate
everyone with a PhD. and feel endlessly sorry for themselves -- because the
government isn't taking better care of them! Come on! You don't even have to
pay your medical bills here! Free universities mean that every single Icelander has the option to learn.
Every set of parents gets nine months off work, paid by the government, to tend to the newborn. You get help buying a home and so on and so
forth. So if you are down on your luck it's your own bloody fault, loser. Stop
whining and get a life. Or better yet, get an education.
And then there are those who take advantage of the system - I'd better not get
started on those losers. Rotten spoiled brats who need to grow up.
