with her claws bared, waiting for victims. A heartless bitch simply knows
who she is and isn't afraid to say that her way is right for her, and to tell
people who try to control her to fuck off.
I came upon your awesome Web site after having broken up with a prime
manipulative asshole. This dude (who seemed like a prince at first, of
course) wanted to "take things further physically," and expressed his sorrowful
"frustration" with me, and his idealistic vision of being truly intimate with
me.
When I told him that I have boundaries and I'd rather get to know him first
before getting into bed, he said that those boundaries are made up by society,
and that it's sad that I am not more adventurous, and that it seems like I'm
going to "die by ice, rather than fire." I realized then that this guy was
arguing with me, trying to make me go his way when I felt strongly about keeping
things my way.
I told him as much, and he said that I was being "high maintenance."
That was the last straw. I told the idiot never to call me again. He
asked if I wanted to at least keep in contact, but I told him I don't need
friends like him.
I haven't heard from him except a final email to me in which he said, "That
was pretty rude," referring to how I ended the relationship. I thought
that email was so rude it didn't warrant a response.
So, now I'm free of men, free to devote my energies to better things in my
life, things that are important to ME.
