Being a Heartless Bitch for me is to never allow a relationship with another person to develop beyond occasional socialization. If I begin to see that a person is getting too needy or dependent up on me, I back off. I like people, enjoy good conversion and other forms of personal interaction, but I will not take the role of counselor. If they want to discuss their personal problems, they need to seek therapy...I do so when I need it, they should do likewise. I am not emotionally dysfunctional; I just choose my relationships carefully. I treasure the relationships I have because they are well cultivated and mutually satisfying.
