I am a Heartless Bitch because I am in control of where my life is headed. Life has thrown a few curves into my path, but I have neither used those events as an excuse to give up nor have I used my overcoming them as a banner for the rest of the world to praise. I recover and move on, my focus never leaving my sight. It is a common assumption that a woman who is as goal-oriented as I must also be rather cold and cruel. I am not either of those. I will admit to being a rather determined lady, but that does not change the fact that I think nothing of pausing my plight for a moment or longer to help a friend in need; I am honored when they allow me to help. I am appreciative for every moment that another person wants to spend with me, but I am not so thankful that I am flattered right out of my shorts.
