Apsara
I am a strong passionate independent woman, I love my life and live it
with joy, fire and creativity. I am 35, a single mother, a university
professor, PhD in *gosh thats unusual for a woman* engineering, but
mostly I am me. I live honestly and authentically and make no room in my
life for people who don't.
When I meet you I treat you with the respect due to any another human
being, male or female, black or white, I am interested in you as a
person, your life and your beliefs. If you lose my respect by being
weak, bigoted, dumb or manipulative, then I will have nothing more to do
with you, ever.
I cannot stand women who hide behind their husbands or their children,
or any other mask. I am totally sick of weak whiney women (and men) who
refuse to act with honesty and integrity, who refuse to take
responsibility for their lives and their own happiness.
I have been described as a Heartless Bitch more than once (although that
is not enough reason to let me become a member) usually by students who
constantly externalise the blame for their failure to submit assignments
on time, or their failure to pass exams. No, you didn't fail because
your computer died, or because your dog was sick or because your husband
left you. You failed because you didn't take your life and your
achievements seriously enough. And I am not going to change your grade
or give you make up work. Do it properly next time around.
Wake up people! It's your life; you only get one shot at it. If you
don't get the results you want in life, it's your fault and your
challenge to do better, get smarter, wise up, learn from your mistakes.
