I can't abide artists who marginalize themselves by capitalizing on their dime-store angst, their dirty laundry, their inefficacies, their self-imposed maladaption, their wrist-slitting pantomimes, and expect me to pay them to hear, see, and read more. Can you hear me, Mr. Reznor?

My up-to-here-o-meter boils over in response to friends who fail to own themselves, who refuse to know themselves, and who accuse me of being over-analytical and judgmental when I give them unvarnished, solicited advice about how to improve their situation.

Bad manners are inexcusable. Codes of courtesy are guidelines for basic human kindness. I'm happy to be a bitch and insist on being treated respectfully at all times.

I'm a bitch because more and more I find myself relinquishing friendships with ineffectual whiners in favor of positive, hard-working, self-aware, enthusiastic, fulfillment-seeking men and women.

I'm a bitch because I'd rather not ally myself with victimized, entitled, spoiled, self-destructive, relentlessly pathological humans. I don't owe them my company.

I am thoroughly invested in becoming a better human: happy, fulfilled, and independent. Therefore, I am a Bitch.
