The female characters in movies and television bug me. When the central or almost-central character is actually a woman, which is still rare, the only way Hollywood can find to make her "interesting enough" is if she's unrealistically sexy and beautiful. Sometimes she's a total prude, but she has to have repressed sex appeal or the guys won't watch. If she happens to be the rescuer instead of the rescuee, she has to be sexy while she's doing it. If she's smart she has to be either soft in the middle or evil, if she's muscular she has to be curvy, if she's ambitious she has to be manipulative.
