Putting my personal happiness before someone else's "fragile ego" does not make me selfish! I'm done with people who think I ought to swallow my complaints and pretend everything's okay when I'm in a relationship, so the other person won't be offended by what I have to say. Apparently I'm supposed to be secretly miserable, while x-person thinks they're doing a smashing job at keeping me happy. Oh, and I'm also supposed to do anything x-person asks, regardless of my own feelings. After all, doing otherwise would make me a BITCH.

Then there are those who get angry when I don't blow up at every little thing, or get rid of x-person immediately before trying to talk about a problem. Apparently this also makes me a bitch, because I'm "bringing down" women everywhere.

It seems the idea of simple communication is lost on the general public (along with a plethora of other things). I consider myself a Heartless Bitch because I speak my mind, give respect only where it is EARNED, make a conscious effort to throw away those rose-colored glasses whenever I find myself looking through them, LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES, and pursue self-improvement when I find myself doing/thinking something that can only be described as "dumbass."
