I'm tired of new-agey spineless herd fodder telling me that I need anger
management because the world is still biased against women in a tangible
way, in earnings, in opportunities, and in legality. It doesn't stop at
women, of course. The inequities are spread to the poor and the less
choicely pigmented, but my anger is valid and appropriate. Without the
suffragetes and their ANGER, we wouldn't even be voting (not that
there's much to vote for)!
I'm in the adult entertainment industry, and
I am not guilty or apologetic about it. I am, however, angry at the
hypocritical puritanism of this rotten country and its witch-hunt-like
legalities surrounding the inappropriate prosecution of primarily the
women who offer their services to the all-too-willing (demanding)
audience, overwhelmingly populated by men who evade arrest, prosecution,
or for the most part any long-term negative effects. I'm tired of being
in a country filled with vacuous flag-wavers who think that every
political issue is black and white and church and apple pie and who
would never stop for a minute to evaluate our complicity and
responsibility in the crimes of the world. I'm tired of this new
expectation that smart, attractive, and youthful women will get stuck
with old, idiotic, misogynistic, patriarchal, mid-life-crisis-having,
ugly-ass men, because they hold all the power that we let slip away.
I'd
rather be alone than settle for a man who falls far below my standards
just because society tells me that it's supposed to be that way. I'm
tired of men focusing on my anger while ignoring its causes, because
women "aren't supposed to act that way". I'm tired of FDS and nutrasweet
and aluminum-based anti-perspirant and all our other poisonous
"prettiness." In short, I'm tired of most of what surrounds me, and
nothing was ever changed by complacency, and this web site is a breath
of fresh air.
