I have been known to roll my eyes, or worse, actually open my mouth and be honest when women especially feel their lives must be validated by children, husbands, husband's careers, the houses they live in.

I have often pissed people off when I suggest that they are drama queens and that they will always turn around attention to themselves as to say--"Look at me -- my dramas are so much more important that yours"

I will often agree with those who put themselves down hoping that someone will say, "oh, that really isn't true, you really are pretty (smart, funny --whatever)." While I don't try to be mean, I usually ask them what they are going to do about it. Here's a tip: educate yourself, lighten up a bit and maybe people would think you are funny. (Self-pity just pisses me off).
