I have been divorced 18 years. I am raising my 12 yr old son alone with no help from his father. Living in this type of situation I've learned that you must depend on yourself, not everyone else. I've grown independent, self reliant, and totally lacking compassion for the whiny whimperers who like to label themselves as either princesses or "the downtrodden." I say bullshit! I have developed a low tolerance for stupidity, ignorance, rudeness and people who can't stand up for themselves. And why am I intolerant to these types? Because there's no excuse for it! Women CAN be strong. Women CAN take care of themselves. And mostly women CAN be a BITCH and be proud of it! I spent the early part of my life "kowtowing" to others, living how I thought it was expected. Thank God I grew not only older but wiser as well, for no longer will I live according to other people's whims. I am strong, sexy, independent, and am raising my son to understand that these are good qualities in both women and men. I believe I'm still single because my strength intimidates most men. And frankly, I'd just as soon not be bothered with someone who can't stand up with me. I won't settle like so many women I know. So yes, call me a Bitch -- and I WILL say thank you -- I've earned it.
