I have few things that will really aggravate me, but those few pet peeves always, inevitably, get me in some sort of trouble with someone. First of all, I cannot tolerate belly-aching. I am more than happy to listen and try to help if a person has a *real* problem, but I don't want to sit around and waste my time listening to the same meaningless dribble that a person has moaned and cried over for the last two years -- while they continue to avoid doing anything about it. I do not want people coming to me with their relationship problems if, after I give them some advice, they moan "but I caaaaan't," or "but what if...." I hate it when a person doesn't take a hint. When you stop speaking to a person or answer all of their questions with simple "uh-huhs," "yeahs," and "I dunnos," one would think they would understand that you are no longer interested in the conversation, and they should stop talking. Understandably, some people are no good with subtle clues, so then you can
just be direct and tell them that they are boring you. Even then, however, I have had several people sit silently for a minute or two and then, as though the silence were painful for them, start some meaningless conversation about how they wish their name started with an "E" so they could write a cursive "E." Lastly, I get so tired of the idiots that insist on trying to debase me because of my gender, dress, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or just because it's all they can find to do in their boredom. It doesn't bother me that they sling the occasional insult at me, it's just their instance upon *trying* to insult me and their frequency of comments that gets annoying. None of them even bother to say anything original. I always get the same things: slut, bitch, whore, ho, hooch and devil-worshipper. Now, honestly, do any of these names insult anyone anymore? I'm half-surprised they don't try to call me a "stupid-head." They're like mosquitoes, they just drone on and
on in your ear and don't seem to understand that you've stopped listening to them.
