I have to be. Heartless Bitchiness is needed in this world.
In working life women usually get paid less than men for doing the same job. Schools are still letting boys get away with things that girls are not allowed to do, because boys are boys while girls have to learn to behave nicely. Rapes or the fear of rapes are common to women; women are the ones who have to watch where they go, what they do, how they dress... that seems to be the best solution. Making stricter laws against sexual crimes is a bad idea after all, especially when the majority of people in power are men (pick any country and it's still true). Media turns women into objects and... I don't really need to tell you this; I think that every woman who writes here knows these things.
I'm a Heartless Bitch because these things cannot be made right by asking nicely and being polite. I have been called man-hater and feminist (in that "feminist equals person who chops off penises"-tone) when I've talked about these things to people. The word bitch wasn't used because they probably wanted to be polite.
I'm not a Heartless Bitch because of stupid boyfriends, failed romances, hate for sappy movies or pop music, love for feminist literature or need to get back at all men because they're bastards. I'm a Heartless Bitch because the other choices (being a good little girl and/or a dutiful wife) are hardly worth thinking about. I want to help women gain all their rights in this very male-dominated world, and annoying some pissed-off pricks and puffed-up princesses on the way is simply a nice bonus.
And I'm a Heartless Bitch because even if you laugh at this message and decide not to make me an official Heartless Bitch, I'll survive.
