I believe I am a Heartless Bitch because I express myself, my thoughts,
my emotions and my concerns openly and honestly. Once a victim of
domestic violence, I now work for a crisis center. Our organization
promotes exercising safe behavior, holding batterers accountable for
their actions and informing the public about what domestic violence
really is (and what they can do to prevent it). I live in a rural
community, one with a "good ole boy" attitude. The local sheriff
recently told his dispatch that they didn't need bitches like me causing
trouble. He's a clueless moron about domestic violence, but he was right
on about me being a bitch.
