I cannot stand listening to people whine. I have systematically dropped a lot of people who were just looking for someone to validate their irresponsible, unrealistic choices. Among them:

-Women who sleep with married men and then either cry that he won't leave his wife or cry because he did leave his wife and is now cheating with someone else.

-Women who stay with men who drink, steal, lie, cheat, use drugs, don't work, don't clean, don't respect women and don't take care of their own children.

-Women who feel like they need a man to make their lives complete. There is not a man in the world who can fill the void that exists if you don't love yourself.

I stopped listening to these women and started telling them the truth. The whining has stopped and the quality of friendships has gone up. The people who were dropped think I am a horrible, selfish, unfeeling person... but then those are the same people who think their choices are well-reasoned and sound.
