I am an emotionally independent and intelligent young woman who is sick and tired of hearing people whine about their tough luck. If something bad happens, I look at what went wrong, deal, and move on. I don't look for sympathy to try to make me feel better about myself. I like myself the way that I am -- harsh but honest. I speak my mind, and if someone calls me a bitch for hitting a little too close to home, I take it as a compliment rather than an insult. I'm proud to be an honest bitch.

I refuse to be a "chick." "Chicks" are the women whose main focuses in life are men, clothes, and hair. Meanwhile, I don't give a shit what colors are in this season, or how I should "act more girly" to get a man. I refuse to act "girly" because it is not me, and I refuse to betray myself just for the attentions of a man. If a man -- or anyone else, for that matter -- can't take it that I am strong and capable on my own terms with a lot more substance than that of your average "chick," then he isn't worth my time.
