I don't need, or want, a child or man to define who I am, or to give me purpose in this world. I have no respect for people stupid enough to get "accidentally knocked up," "marry (or stay married) for the sake of the kid," and even less respect for the old "but he loves me" crap -- these are EXCUSES for people who don't have the nerve to be their own person. I left my ex-husband after I had him thrown in jail when he had the stupidity to think he could hit me. Stay in that situation? NEVER. Whine about it? WHY? I left and never looked back, and took Karate lessons to "recover." We are all responsible for our own happiness, so I refuse to be responsible for the misery of others.
