I'm a Heartless Bitch because coasting thru life is easy. It's a hard fucking uphill climb to do the right thing. When faced with adversity I've learned that climbing that hill is always the most fulfilling answer even when you don't make it to the top or have approached the wrong hill. Metaphoric bullshit aside, I've made it my prerogative to ask the uncomfortable questions, voice my unpopular opinions and encourage others to do the same. Likewise I've also learned to listen to the other side in case it has merit. Besides, you can't attack something you don't fully understand.

I have a niece (close to me in age, more like a sister) who is a United States Marine. Despite the overwhelming risks she reenlisted two weeks ago. It takes a Truly Heartless Bitch to swallow her fears and let her loved one know how very proud she is. Only a hard core bitch knows when to tell herself to suck it up and stand behind the convictions of a fellow hard ass bent on doing what's right. I'm levelheaded enough to know that some action needs to be taken on behalf of our country even if it means the potential sacrifice of someone I love. But I'm also not so naive as to have blind faith in our leaders.
