I don't have the time for ignorant, incompetent people. There is a
difference between inexperience and incompetence, but if someone doesn't
get it after it's been explained once or twice, get the hell out of my
sight. I believe that redundancy is the language of the stupid, if you
can't express yourself specifically, then you should not be expressing
yourself at all. I am a woman in the military, and I deal with all kinds
of narrow-mindedness from both men and women everyday. I think that the
women AND the men who can't handle the physical stress should find a
less demanding trade. The women who can't tolerate the language should
realize that it's part of the environment and take it or leave. Stop
confusing profanity with sexual harassment. The men should not
necessarily have to change their conversation when a woman comes to join
them. They should know the boundaries of professionalism. If it is
degrading or racist talk, it should not be at work anyway.
