I do have compassion, sympathy, empathy, blah-blah-blah. I believe I qualify for your fine organization because I can only have these feelings for ones whom I deem deserve them. I feel for victims of random violent crimes, babies with challenging circumstances, people who have debilitating illnesses that could not have been acquired by their own doing. However, don't whine to me about things that you did have some control over. Don't whine because you refuse to accept the consequences of the situation you created. You are right, I don't understand what it is like to be a teenage mother because I used condoms! I do know what it is like to be abused by a spouse, but I left! I don't know what it is like to be a high-school dropout, because I stayed in school, despite the mind-numbing ignorance of the teachers (an English teacher marked points off of one of my papers for using the word "balk" and told me it wasn't a word) and went to college!
I have my own version of Darwinism. I don't think children should wear helmets while riding bikes; perhaps if one is too stupid to ride a bike safely, one shouldn't survive at all. One shouldn't be able to sue another on the basis that they were not protected from themselves. Governmental "safety nets" should not help those who refuse to help themselves, and if some of those starved or died of exposure, perhaps the check for which I work forty hours a week would be a little fatter. Guns should be given out, not taken away, and we should all get a certain number of free kills. Since, of course, I know best who should live and die, I get to approve the kills and take those out who use theirs frivolously.
Yes! I want to read more from Real Life Heartless Bitches
