To me, the lack of a sense of humor is an indication of small-mindedness, hypocrisy, and arrogance. All the people I hate the most have no sense of humor, or limit the bounds of what they may laugh at so that it's "decent." No matter how tasteless it is, or now unfortunate, I can laugh at it. Hilarity is a great, loud, blustering boast in every aspect of my existence. The harshness that life has dealt me (often through my own omission or error) also dealt me the lesson that nothing is so tragic that you can't have a bloody good laugh. In fact, if you don't, you'll end up in a nuthouse. Some say that makes me heartless. So what? If you're going to fuck up you might as well have fun doing it, and if you don't have any fun you've fucked up anyway. There are many causes and topics about which I have passionate opinions - but I can still find something in them to laugh at. So, if you're looking for someone who titters daintily behind her hand, don't look at me, pal. I'm too busy with my big, loud, bad-mannered guffaw.
