The biggest irritation and road block to my quest for the money is the daily fuckin' grind of having to put up with men who can only be described as illiterate, empty headed bores. Try having lunch with these imbeciles.
Every day the topics of conversation are the same. Lawn maintenance. Tales of imagined male bravado and virility. Some oh-so-funny top ten list they discovered on a web site that describes the hilarious differences between men and women. (Gee, how many of those exist?)
I am a Heartless Bitch because I don't pretend I am somebody I am not just to make men feel better about themselves. I don't laugh at their moronic jokes or
their email top ten lists. I am unapologetically grumpy when I encounter their stupid behavior.
I don't let them get away with making sweeping generalizations, and I take special delight in shooting down their Victorian era attitudes about women.
"Oh you are so hilarious and different than the other women. So tough," a guy at work said to me a few days ago.
Bullshit. I don't let them get away with the divisive tactic of placing all women into neatly boxed categories for their convenience. Different. Tough. Special. Babes. Girls. Nice. I am a human being first and a woman second.
I am not going to be dismissed or diminished by their labels and cute adjectives. To their stupidity, I usually reply, "Stop condescending you dumb prick, or you will really get on my bad side." They laugh uncomfortably. I make them nervous because they can't determine if I am being funny or "tough" as they call it.
"I just love your dry sense of humor and your tone. It's so British," my boss said to me.

The real difference between me and their doormat wives, the nice girls around the office, and the servile babes they ogle in the cafeteria is that I actually say what I am thinking and I go after what I want. As I look around me,
I think it is damn depressing that these are unusual, endangered qualities in women.
I could really use a conversation with some like-minded individuals.
