I began as a "controlling bitch" years ago, rising (with 2 other strong women) to the leadership of a nonprofit organization comprised primarily of men. They resented this and named us the controlling bitches. We took the title proudly and went so far as to have name plaques made designating each of us as controlling bitches numbers 1, 2 and 3.

I've graduated from merely controlling to completely heartless over time as I have lost my patience for (and my temper with): those who speak authoritatively from ignorance; those who complain about how poorly volunteer organizations perform but are unwilling to put in any actual time or effort themselves; people who are in the problem and refuse to participate in solutions.

Put simply: I don't spend time in extensive dialogues with whiners and chronically negative people. Naturally they think I'm a Heartless Bitch and I see no reason to disabuse them of the notion.
