I took the marriage road twice, and I have taken the divorce road twice. The first let me put him through grad school, then dumped me for a younger model. The second let me raise his 4 children and got himself injured and on disability during our entire 16 year marriage. He decided he didn't want me now that the money is gone and guess what, he dumped me and got the home and support because the court felt sorry for him, and after all, they said, you will get more raises at your job and he never will.
So now at 50, I'm alone with no family no home and starting over. I learned a valuable lesson, I won't walk the marriage road again and for God's sake I will keep my head out of my asshole when it comes to men. So now when a man hits on me my first response is, show me your credit report and your bank account, do you have any living relatives do you have a good job and are you prepared to pay for everything. I have learned to be stronger and just say to people who want to use me, "that's nice", which is what I learned in finishing school to say in place of "Fuck You".
