and Damned Proud of it!

Fiona

Generally, I wouldn't choose to align myself with a label at all, let alone a label that seems derogatory. The I got to thinking about what a Heartless Bitch is to me - and its pretty simple. A bitch seems to be any woman that is able to be: clear, straightforward, truthful and authentic. Bitch is used to define women that know what they want and then aggressively pursue it. Bitch is a label used for women that are personally responsible - my definition - know what you think, know what you feel - and honor it by being "real" - even when it pisses other people off - or makes them not want to "play" with you anymore.

So okay - I am definitely a bitch. Heartless? I think heartless means you are willing to be a bitch - and follow through with it - your passions, ideals, opinions, wants, needs etc. are primary and NOT secondary. Yeah - okay I am heartless because I will do what I need to do to look after myself even when it puts someone else behind me. I am arguably selfish in defending my right to independence, freedom and authenticity. If people don't like it, quite frankly - I don't give a damn.

Yes! I want to read more from Real Life Heartless Bitches
