...I knew at age 6 that all the crap that women
are expected to do, like diet, plaster makeup over our faces,
never, never get a muscle or be strong, etc was... well, crap. So
I didn't do it.
The clothing industry has a totally psychotic idea of what women
are shaped like-- I have eaten right and worked out with weights since
age 16, I am "built like a shit brickhouse" and I still can't find women's clothes that fit me. So I cross the aisle and buy men's clothes. Oh, and I buy clothes that are comfortable for ME, not ones that are supposed to "make me look
sexy". Who wants to be mistaken for a whore? Men don't dress like
that, why should I?
"Everybody knows that women aren't made for combat." That must be why
I served 5 years in the Army and am now studying Kung Fu. (For which,
I might add, Army Basic Training has come in real handy.)
Oh, and yes I own a gun. I refuse to be a victim. I WILL NOT become
another one of those pathetic newspaper headlines, you know, the "another
woman victim of a violent crime" ones. However, if I wound up in the
papers for shooting a serial murderer stone cold dead, that would be
all right.
