I refuse to accept being told that my drive, my passion, my big mouth, my "intensity" (as dear old Mom calls it) is my downfall. YES, I'm loud! YES, I'm opinionated! And I'm grateful that I allow the loud and the opinionated to mate and become the BIG-MOUTHED BITCH! I'm tired of feeling pressured to change or stifle my view to prevent someone else's discomfort. Fuck that, fuck them, we all know by now that subservience will get us nowhere.

I am stronger and wiser than most people I encounter, and I WILL NOT insult myself or others like me by pretending otherwise. If you can't keep up with me, get out of the way or get intellectually trampled. Yes, I adore my son and I love (and am loved) and respect (and I am respected by) both he and the man I live with (a rare, brilliant, "clued-in" specimen of the species, I assure you). But soft is not a word that applies to me. I once was lost, a clueless whimperer, but that got old so quickly, I'd sooner lose a limb than ever go back. And don't even get me started on how I feel about fat and body bullshit!! I'm certain you get the idea. Power up!
