I guess the main reason why I'm a Heartless Bitch is because, no matter how I try to hold it in, I just have the most intense urge to beat the stupid people of the world about the head with a baseball bat. I am forever confounded by how our supposedly "polite" society can be so crude towards those who are different.

I feel this particularly acutely because I am a tall, strongly-built woman, and not a bad-looking one at that, thank-you very much. Yet because I am large for a woman I am constantly being hounded by silly teenage girls who, as if it's their constitutional duty, enjoy pointing at me and giggling like I'm some sort of mad transvestite. Yet as they giggle at me they don't realize that deep inside I am stifling the urge to reach behind their perfect blond heads of hair and jerk out the valve stems that keep those perfect little heads of theirs inflated.

On the other end, men talk down to me because I am a woman, and act patronizing towards me when they find out I like several things ordinarily considered "guy" things. Even though I have a master's degree and am working on a Ph.D., they talk to me like I'm 15 and have an IQ not far below that, and before long they try to talk their way into my pants.

I'm just sick of idiots and jerks who want gender to dictate who I am or what I can do. It's high time I stood up and said that I'm a Heartless Bitch and proud of it!
