I'm a Heartless Bitch because I have standards, values, and opinions that I refuse to ignore or change because someone else doesn't agree with them. I know myself, and I know what I believe. While I admit that my thoughts and views do change as I learn more or become exposed to new ideas, I will not change them for anyone-only for myself and for my own benefit or pleasure.

To me, being a Heartless Bitch doesn't signify being mean or rude to people. It means being yourself, and not being afraid to show that to others. It means having self-confidence and pride in who you are, and not allowing anyone else to take that away from you. If someone hurts me, or injures me in some way, I will retaliate. Admittedly, all this is often interpreted as being bitchy or snobby.

As much as it sometimes terrifies me, I admit that I can be a "sappy girl". But I believe that there are limits. I refuse to become the helpless maiden in distress to make a man feel virile, and I don't flirt with people to boost their egos or to make an idiot out of myself. I won't put on false pretensions to try to impress others. I am eternally me. I will not change myself for anyone. If they don't like or accept the way I am, then they aren't worth knowing.
