I have survived molestation, the divorce of my parents, several beatings with a belt buckle, my own divorce which was the result of mental abuse, and a miscarriage. No, I am not whining, I am proud of my background.

The everyday obstacles have made me the strong, level headed, opinionated, driven woman I am today. Male or female, young or old, I constantly hear sappy sob stories of how they are the victims in life because of the same issues I grew up with. Please spare me, they are the spineless wimps who are letting life win. Either put up or shut up.

It's hard not to feel some sympathy for another's pain but so often you have to look out for yourself. After my divorce and a brief period of self loathing I realized I had lost the spirited soul I once had. I quit mooching off of everyone's pity and started college. For the first time in life I am supporting myself and I am no longer in the "taking everyone's shit" business. I hold my head high, and face forward. No sense in looking back, I've already seen that shit. To me being a Heartless Bitch entails being through a great deal and coming out on top, not cumming on top. It is knowing what it takes to get where you want to be and not letting anything or anyone stand in your way.
