Somehow, somewhere, it appears people who live among us have been infected with this idea that if a woman sticks up for herself, doesn't apologize for or minimize her talents, and refuses to take shit, she is abnormal in some fundamental way, and judges her to be non-feminine. Yes, I'm a strong person. I also happen to be feminine. I cuss a lot and with great gusto, on occasion I drink too much, and I sleep with my dogs more often than with a man. And no, I don't feel a need to apologize for any of this; I've earned every fucking cell of personal strength I possess. One dysfunctional childhood and three failed marriages into my life, I've realized the only person I've always been able to depend upon is ME.

I take care of me. I love me. Sometimes I've been less than honest with me and made some bad choices, yet in the end, I can rely on me to slap sense back into me so I can move forward with life and learn from my stupid mistakes. When did personal responsibility and personal accountability go out of fashion in the world? I have very limited patience for stupid people, lazy people, whiners, and least of all for ill-behaved children and those who turn them loose to ruin my day when they appear in public.
