My self-education and unflinching introspection has made me stronger, smarter and above all, more honest with myself and with others. I am not afraid to re-evaluate the way I do things in order to learn to be a wiser, stronger human being. If I find any aspects of myself that I'm unsatisfied with such as dishonesty, weakness and immaturity I will work to eradicate or minimize them by learning from painful experience and facing hard truths. One of the most important lessons I've learned thus far is the ability to identify, and then let go of, people in my life who are destructive and damaging towards me. Life is too short to be hanging around those who are deceptive, inconsistent and cruel. At some point, one has to put personal feelings aside and face the uncomfortable truth that some people just aren't worth all the pain, anguish and soul-destroying they inflict. At the end of the day, it is up to ME to nurture and protect myself. Forget the Knight in Shining Armour - anybody who messes with me is going to have to deal with ME!
At the risk of tainting the credibility of my words by making sweeping generalizations, I think most people would assume that a Heartless Bitch is somebody who is cruel, unreasonable and demanding. In actual fact, a Heartless Bitch is somebody who IS kind and reasonable. And as for the demanding part, well yes, Heartless Bitches are demanding, but their demands are fair - they demand to be treated with respect and dignity and they demand accountability from others. They also uphold accountability in themselves - taking responsibility for one's behaviour and decisions is a central aspect of a Heartless Bitch's modus operandi. A true Heartless Bitch is a person who makes no excuses, stands up for what she believes in and will never take the easier route if she feels it would compromise her integrity.
If that is an accurate description, then I am a Heartless Bitch.
