I am a Heartless Bitch because to me, Bitch stands for Being In Total Control of Herself. My mother and aunts taught me that one from the time I can remember. I NEVER get offended or upset when someone calls me a Bitch. In fact, I take it as a compliment because typically the person/people it is coming from think that when a woman is strong, confident, opinionated, and outspoken then she is a Bitch. Well if that what makes a Bitch, then I just may thank you for the compliment! Besides, typically whomever such a remark is coming from is just a weak and insecure person, and sometimes I kind of feel sorry for them.
Also, I fully believe that as a woman, I don't need a man to be a complete person. Having a significant other is my choice, and I choose to be with him every day. He knows I don't need him, and he doesn't need me either. We are together because we want to be, and that is what makes our relationship strong. I believe all women need to be independent and able to support themselves, regardless of their relationship status. Women who are completely dependent on their husbands/ boyfriends drive me nuts! I guess that's because I grew up with a strong feminist mother. Although I don't think she even knows she's a feminist, she taught me well. One of her favourite quotations is "Stand up for what you believe in, even if you're standing alone." I think that quote sums up what it means to be a Bitch, because as women, if we don't stand up for ourselves, no one is going to do it for us! So that is why I am proud to be a Heartless Bitch!
