I like taking responsibility for myself. Sure, it's nice to have a hand over a rough spot but taking responsibility and owning up to my own fuckups means I get to own the good results, too. I worked to get to this mental place and I don't want people hanging off my ass who won't stand up and do the same for themselves. I have no patience and even less sympathy for people who get themselves into stupid shit and then cry about how it's God, the Devil, their ex, a bad childhood or whatever else they wish to blame. No. Once you hit the age where you're not legally obligated to be someone else's problem, then your road is yours to walk and yours to fall on. Dust your ass off, own your shit and get moving again. I expect that of myself, and I see no reason why I shouldn't expect it of other people.
