I want people to take responsibility for their actions. People who whine about all the idiots in their lives, who make them miserable and never once look at their own part of whatever it is that's bothering them, annoy the crap out of me. Stop whining and whinging and DO something about it already! If you want more "time for your hobbies", prioritise the things in your life and stop wasting your time whining for Christ's sake!

I'm a teacher (grammar and literature) and with every single assignment I give out I try to battle the intolerable spoon-feeding of the elementary school system (here in Iceland at least) that tells young people they do not have to think. That it's enough to regurgitate chapters out of the assigned text to get a good grade. Students who think that to get a good report all they have to do is write "cute essays" in multicolored ink can think again.

Think, and be responsible for what you do, are the two things I try to live by myself, and the two things I try to encourage and extract from my (teenage) students. I just love it when I see results.
