I refuse to indulge the delusional, which gives me a lot of time alone to do whatever I want. My idea of kindness? Tell the truth clearly and directly without worrying if it makes someone uncomfortable or hurts their feelings.

Being selfish is an instant cure for being a resentful victim whose idea of a cocktail at dinner is a nipple on a bottle of vodka. How do I keep my self-respect? Live without a lot of stress and drama? My motto is: NEVER EXPLAIN, NEVER DEFEND. My best advice? When someone irritates you by whining or blathering endlessly, look them in the eyes and say, IF YOU SAY SO. Shuts them up fast so you can get back to that great book you were in the middle of. JUST DO IT. It's a lifestyle, not a Nike slogan.
