I am a Heartless Bitch because I know what I want out of my life and I work for it. I possess a fully functional brain that I use with pride, and I don't give a damn if you're intimidated by me. If you can't handle my being intelligent and independent, then fuck you, because I won't play dumb to soothe your ego.

I am Heartless because I don't sit around and play social worker to every head case who comes along. If you're having a bad day, I'll sympathize. It you need me to help you work out a problem, sure. But if you're using me as either validation or an emotional tampon, then get lost. Same goes for the helplessly dependent.

I'm a Heartless Bitch because the sentiment of needing a man makes me puke. I do not need a man, thank you very much. I've currently chosen to have a wonderful one in my life, and it's been lovely thus far. But, I do not need him for any reason. We're a partnership. I'm not his mommy, and fortunately, he's got that figured out.

Certainly, I've made mistakes. I've let myself be a doormat, I've dated the stereotypical Nice Guy, and I've let that guy boss me around. But I am a Heartless Bitch because I grew up, learned from those mistakes, and emerged a stronger, smarter, more confident women. Without a Nice Guy wrapped around her ankle.
