I am a Bitch because I am a survivor. I am a Heartless Bitch because I’m dedicating my life to fighting back—against domestic violence, against assault, against rape, and against the men and women who engage in such behaviours.

I am a Bitch because I help myself instead of needing a man to complete me.

I am a Bitch because I believe that sexuality is a gift to be embraced, instead of to be shamed for as a woman. I am proud of my sexuality, and I accept others for theirs.

I am a Bitch because I grew up seeing a strong woman take charge of her life as well as supporting my life, and it has made me assertive, opinionated, and passionate for what I want in life.

I am a Bitch because I love a challenge, and take life as it goes.

I am a Bitch because I am loyal, but know my loyalties must be earned instead of given freely.

I am a Bitch because I will not stand for injustice, cruelty, or inequalities and I am a Heartless Bitch because I fight back against an unfair world, knowing that my actions (along with those that fight with me) will one day cause things to change.
