I have worked in the legal and private investigation fields for so long that I sometimes think I have seen it ALL with respect to human stupidity. I love many aspects of my work, as they have afforded me the ability to totally "out" morons committing fraud. It pisses me off to no end when I find out I can only get health insurance if I pay an outrageous amount for the monthly premiums, but some asshole is out there malingering and getting monthly health as well as cash benefits. It disgusts me. Every time I get a case like this and I can obtain video of this "injured" party working or recreating, life tastes a little bit sweeter.
I am sick of people who are able to care for themselves not doing so and our society taking care of them as if they were imbecilic children. These benefits were put in place for those who truly need them and these fuck-ups are ruining the benefit structure of our healthcare system. These people are simply low-level grifters and it is my hope that someday there will be a system in place to weed them all out. Shit, I may implement the system myself!
I will never apologize for my opinions; it took me a lifetime of experience to obtain them. One of the most important things I have learned in my life is the difference between showing respect and common decency versus being a doormat. I also believe that unless you are ready to create a tidal wave, keep your stones in your pocket.
I love my children and myself and I give back where I can but I refuse to compromise the things that really matter. Wants are negotiable, needs are NOT.
