I deserve to get past the BitchBouncer and become a member of HBI because:
I describe myself as an "adult wolf" (female of course) living amongst an unbelievably huge number of stupid fucked-up immature dogs/puppies in this world. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE actual dogs (the canine variety) but my behavioural knowledge of them leads me to the label I've just given myself. As an adult wolf, I am watchful, thoughtful, I think safe, I give direction, I nip if I think you're not listening properly, I'll snap if the nip doesn't work and whatever it is really matters, and if you try and treat me or my pack unfairly or unjustly, I'll come out blazing like Wolverine. Note to self: must calm down. The irritation I feel is for the humans that emulate the puppies, not for my beloved furry/hairy four-legged friends. Just wanted to make that clear. Read on:
Adult wolves reach a level of adult maturity that most domesticated dogs can ever dream of (or even whimper about) and usually match, in psychological development, the maturity of a wolf-puppy. Even the more wolf-like breeds (German Shepherd/Huskies etc) don't reach this level. This is obviously due to years of intentional domestication by man but the similarities with the hugely juvenile human race that I have to live alongside might be as follows:
lack of independence
dependence on others for direction
need training
try and dominate when they're not intelligent or mature enough to make good, safe decisions for the rest of the pack to follow
howl when left alone
want lots of attention/stimulation and if they don't get it (positively) will do anything they can to get it
