I'm a Heartless Bitch because, like most HBs, I've been through the wringer a few times and flourished. I was married and divorced. I returned to college full time in the evenings to complete my BA - all while working a full time job. I'm a 37 year old, professional, educated woman that doesn't need a "significant other" to make her whole. I, myself, am WHOLE. Period.

And being single doesn't mean I should be pitied. If I hear one more "I have JUST the person to set you up with..." I'm going to puke. My life is fabulous just the way it is! I will date the men that I CHOOSE. I refuse to tolerate disrespect... I'm not naive like I was in my 20's. I know who I am, and am not afraid to express it. So many of my girlfriends are amazed at what they call my "honesty" when it comes to the men that I date. I say it like it is and make no apologies -- since when is honesty a bad thing, anyway? "No I'm not headstrong, I'm *honest*."

The things I change about myself, I do for me and me alone. If I'm not a guy's "ideal" woman the way that I am, I seriously doubt that I will be when I lose 10 lbs. I'm over it.
