What makes me a Heartless Bitch? I'm assertive, smart and the only way I can clearly illustrate it is through my opinions of college.
My father wanted me to go to college to learn to bake and make wedding cakes for the rest of my life. I am proud to say that he is very disappointed. I am a Criminal Justice major on my way to Law School, and nothing short of a zombie invasion is going to stop me. Even then, a zombie invasion would be more conducive to my personality.
I will admit that I do have a soft spot for the campus idiots. Assuming that the apocalypse had nothing to do with it, who else would amuse me if all the sororitutes and frat-boys suddenly vanished? Some students waste their mommy's and daddy's money to go on elaborate, 4-year-long, parties and expect life to straighten out for them at the last minute. Watching students who go out on drinking binges for five days a week, fornicate like monkeys, and then whine about failing their classes make me very happy. It's one less person I have to compete with to get into that top ten percent.
Even excluding the party animals, there are those who are just so astoundingly stupid that it's a miracle they got their high school diplomas. I have been forced to peer-review papers for classes. There is nothing as amazing as a college student who submits a four page paper that's only one paragraph and three sentences. Almost equally amazing is the sheer number of students who don't understand fractions or long division, in college. I like these people too. I don't feel I should have to try and help them. They sit through the same classes I do and are offered the same lectures that I, and many others, understand.
When they need jobs, I'll be sure to do whatever firm I work for a favor and keep them away from the phones, mail, and anything besides a mop. If we didn't have these people, we'd be without many of our favorite restaurants and movie theaters.
