I'm a Heartless Bitch because I refuse to cave in to my co-worker's manipulation of special circumstances. At my job, overtime is offered to who has the least overtime and then goes through the list from least to most until someone accepts. My co-worker came from a different part of the company of which she was able to work as much OT as she wanted. She bid the job at my office and had enough seniority ot take it. She had well over 200 hours of OT over the rest of us, but felt she was entitled OT due to her large amount of medical bills. If she knows other people will be picking up the OT, she whines and bellyaches about her bills, therefore, making everyone uncomfortable since they may not owe as much money.
I recently had to deal with a meltdown because I got OT and she didn't over the Christmas holiday. I was not the only one who got OT, but I was the one who was there when she found out she wasn't getting any.
I'm Heartless because I didn't cave in, and let her work what I did.
