I am a Heartless Bitch, as defined by the philosophy of this website and not in the terms of the ignorant and prejudiced for the following reasons:
I have been raised to see people as people first, and to be a person first. I'm not afraid of hard work or of living my life in an unusual way. I am me and I don't need anyone to validate me but myself.
I believe that to remain silent in the face of injustice is to be an accomplice in it. I don't believe that one must be vicious or self serving to prove their intelligence or make a point, but I am not afraid to stand up for what I believe and defend it loudly and in an educated manner before any bigot. I respect other's as long as they earn it and not because they demand it and require mutual and equal respect before all else in any relationship, which means friendship for me.
I will never belong to anyone and I will always strive towards living a life free from the constraints of society's expectations. I will be happy. Not in spite of anyone, just for myself.
There is no shame in having insecurities, and one is a wiser if one can acknowledge them and so overcomes them. I just don't tolerate self-pity, injustice, prejudice, or stupidity (willing or unknowing- I don't care.) I don't compromise my morals for anyone.
If someone walks beside me in life, they will need to know how to stand on their own.
The people who I call my friends can do this and respect me so I walk with them as long as we share these ideas.
I can change tires, cook good food, design and build a bathroom and sauna, shovel stone, make jewelry, sew, fix a computer, give first aid, physically defend myself against people larger and stronger than me, speak my mind and quite a bit more. If it surprises or intimidates you that I can also bear live young, surprise! I'm a mammal- oh yea, the female kind.
That is all part of who I am. I am human being, and a heartfelt b(eing)i(n)t(otal)c(control of)h(herself). (Yes that includes no one else.)
