I take responsibility for my life and expect others to do the same. I have been called uncompassionate many times for not helping out my SAH friends when their husbands left them. I simply have no tolerance for being around women (or men) who think its okay to sponge off someone else, then whine like a victim when they are kicked to the curb, and actually have to go out fend for themselves. I won't give them money and I won't let them stay with me. However, I will give them some job-hunting tips, when/if they finally wise up and decide to take responsibility for themselves. But I won't listen to the whining about how the world owes them something because they were a SAH, were married, had kids or whatever. They made their choices in life and they are adults.
