I'm a Heartless Bitch because throughout my life I have been blessed by strong female role models and men who are not afraid of powerful women. I have grown up seeing equality in my home, encouraged and taught to use my brain and my spine. I've held those values close to my heart my entire life and it shows.
I have never been accused of being a pushover, doormat, or stupid. I have however since a young age been accused of being a Bitch, too opinionated, or rebellious.
Maybe I didn't fit into the role some of the general population wanted me to, but by standing up for myself I'm a much happier person then many who have gone with the current. I don't complain about my relationships - be it family, romantic, or friendship. When something isn't satisfactory I fix it.
I won't hide my opinion just because the group doesn't appreciate it. If you want to express your anti-environmental, homophobic, or sexist comments around me don't expect that I'll stay quiet just because everyone else will roll over and take your dated and illogical views.
I believe that it is my responsibility to research and formulate intelligent opinions, to ask questions, and to learn. I don't believe in being a bystander, I believe in standing up for what I believe is right - whatever the odds. I am a Heartless Bitch.
